Lea Marra & The River Boys
Lea Marra and The River Boys bring high energy “folkgrass” to the stage with grassy licks, strong vocals, and heartfelt lyrics. Based in Cleveland, this five-person bluegrassy jam band portrays the life of everyday folks in rust belt midwest with catchy, singable melodies and foot-stomping tempos. It is nearly impossible to listen to Lea Marra and The River Boys without dancing.
Frontwoman Lea Marra has been writing and performing music since the age of ten. Influenced musically by the Cranberries, Sierra Ferrell, Sixpence None The Richer, The Chicks, and Dolly Parton, Marra notes that the content for her songwriting inspiration comes from nature, life experiences and relationships. They released their first album titled Ace of Cups in March, 2024, and perform prolifically both locally and regionally.
Upstream Drifters
Dubbed “pure magic” by fans, folk-roots band Upstream Drifters uses storytelling and song painting to elevate everyday life in northeast Ohio. Blending traditional folk instruments like old-time banjo, guitar, and mandolin with drums, synth and electric bass, the Upstream Drifters conjure soundscapes from dreamy to driving. With textured rhythms and lyrical melodies, their intentional, animated performances attract audiences of all ages. In 2025 they released both an EP Carried Along as well as their first full-length album. On WKSU’s The Shuffle, Amanda Rabinowitz describes the music as “raw, rugged… with infectious funky grooves.”
