World Photography Day Film Screening - The Salt of the Earth

This World Photography Day join us for the screening of The Salt of the Earth. The film chronicles photographer Sebastião Salgado's journey from a young economist to a world-class photographer capturing the beauty and struggles of humanity through his lens. It highlights his powerful images of marginalised communities the impact of war and the environment while also delving into his personal experiences and the emotional toll of his work.

About Phillum:
Phillum is a project by photographer Parvez Shaikh aiming to cultivate a vibrant community of photography enthusiasts. It will organise regular screenings of films focused on photography slideshows photowalks and informal gatherings. These activities will provide a welcoming space for individuals to connect share ideas and learn from one another in a relaxed atmosphere.
