- **Event Description**: The ‘Handmade in Gujarat’ travel series is an appreciation of what the hands can do, paying our respect and gratitude to everything rooted in nature and the human connection. Part one will take place in Ahmedabad while part two will happen in Kutch. 

Gujarat is the land of textiles and a big melting point of cultures. Through this journey, we will explore the handmade traditions of Gujarat with a focus on Ahmedabad. We will understand the cultural artforms from the Chitara community, who are master artisans of Mata ni Pachedi; visit the historic Gandhi ashram to learn about cotton spinning and the World Heritage Site called the Rani ki vav (Stepwell) to see the exquisite work behind Patan textiles and beautiful architecture. 

No trip to Ahmedabad is complete without the culinary heritage of this land- we will get to explore the grand Gujarati thali, that will help us immerse in the old handmade traditions. This unique journey is designed for a small, intimate group of cultural enthusiasts who will have the opportunity to explore the historical spaces in Ahmedabad. 

Together, we’ll experience Gujarat’s vibrant culture, rich crafts traditions, and culinary heritage.
