- **Event Description**: Screening of TO BE or NOT TO BEDirected by Ernst LubitschOPEN FOR ALLAbout the film:In Nazi-occupied Warsaw, an egotistical Shakespearean actor and his glamorous wife must use their theatrical troupe’s acting talents, costumes, and wits to outsmart the Gestapo and safeguard the Polish underground.Set on the eve of World War II, Ernst Lubitsch’s razor-sharp satirical masterpiece follows Polish stage stars Joseph Tura (Jack Benny) and Maria Tura (Carole Lombard). When the German invasion shutters their theater, the troupe finds themselves thrust into real-world espionage. A traitorous double agent threatens to deliver a list of Polish resistance fighters directly to the Gestapo, forcing the actors to stage the most dangerous performance of their lives—donning Nazi disguises, impersonating high-ranking commanders, and using theatrical farce as an audacious weapon against fascism.Balancing high-stakes suspense with immaculate screwball timing, To Be or Not to Be remains one of cinema's boldest anti-fascist satires and features Carole Lombard’s final screen performance.Language: EnglishDuration: 1 h 39 minLimited Seating: Only 20 seats are availableRegistration is mandatoryPlease Note:Register only if you can confirm your attendance. The film starts promptly at 6.30 PM. Latecomers will not be admitted. Please park your vehicle responsiblyContact:Savan+91 9978001005
