Artist Talk: Aimée Henny Brown & Luke Pardy in Conversation

Aimée Henny Brown and Luke Pardy will be in conversation to discuss their current exhibition, POSSIBLE ELSEWHERES: exploring the domestic imaginary and their artistic practices. The talk will be followed by a Q&A.

Aimée Henny Brown is a transdisciplinary project-based artist. Her work activates printed matter, archives, found and constructed objects through practices of repair, reuse and collage. This approach encourages a transitional space where functional objects and reclaimed materials shift from their initial purpose and intended capacity. New configurations address the history and possibilities of things as tangible elements in a virtual era.

Luke Pardy is an interdisciplinary artist working between photography, performance, and installation. His work investigates settler relations to land through interactions with landscapes, architecture, the body, and ephemera. He works to unsettle dominate historical perspectives and create relational, responsible, and accountable ways of being through contemporary art.

Their practice is rooted in an ethos of care and community between humans and non-humans.
