Camping is a transformative experience. It’s leaving the comforts of home to explore the world on its own terms. It’s slowing down to see that the world doesn’t move so fast after all. It’s taking a moment to discover what’s on the trunks of trees and at the bottom of the creek, and, sometimes when we go off the beaten path, how we can rediscover things that we take for granted every day.
During Into the Woods: Camping 101, Adventurers will gain basic camping and hiking skills through pitching tents, packing backpacks, planning for a trek, cooking in the great outdoors, navigating established trails, and navigating off the beaten path. They will learn about the gear necessary for hiking and camping, as well as ways to turn exploring and camping into adventures and memories.
(Extended care and part-time options are available.)
