প্রবাসী বাঙালির হৃদয়ে শিকড়ের টান আর নতুন বছরের আনন্দকে ভাগ করে নিতে সাউথ অস্ট্রেলিয়া বেঙ্গলি কালচারাল অ্যাসোসিয়েশন (SABCA) আয়োজন করতে যাচ্ছে ‘বাংলা নববর্ষ ১৪৩৩’। আগামী ১১ এপ্রিল ২০২৬, শনিবার উডভিল টাউন হলে (Woodville Town Hall) অনুষ্ঠিত হবে এই মহোৎসব। প্রতিবারের মতো এবারও বর্ণিল সাজে সাজানো হবে অনুষ্ঠান প্রাঙ্গণ, যেখানে প্রবাসের কর্মব্যস্ত জীবনের মাঝে এক টুকরো বাংলাদেশ ফুটে উঠবে।
আয়োজক সূত্রে জানা গেছে, এদিন বিকেল থেকেই প্রবাসীদের পদচারণায় মুখরিত হবে টাউন হল। অনুষ্ঠানের মূল আকর্ষণ হিসেবে থাকবে স্থানীয় শিল্পীদের পরিবেশনায় মনোজ্ঞ সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান, যেখানে গান, নাচ এবং আবৃত্তির মাধ্যমে তুলে ধরা হবে বাঙালি সংস্কৃতির হাজার বছরের ঐতিহ্য। এছাড়া অনুষ্ঠানের অন্যতম আকর্ষণ হিসেবে থাকবে রকমারি পিঠা-পুলি এবং দেশীয় খাবারের স্টল। "নতুন প্রজন্মকে আমাদের কৃষ্টি ও সংস্কৃতির সাথে পরিচয় করিয়ে দেওয়াই আমাদের এই আয়োজনের প্রধান লক্ষ্য।" উডভিল টাউন হলের এই মেলায় সকল প্রবাসী বাঙালিকে সপরিবারে আমন্ত্রণ জানিয়েছে SABCA কর্তৃপক্ষ।
Driven by the deep-rooted connection to their heritage and the shared joy of the New Year, the South Australia Bengali Cultural Association (SABCA) is set to organize the celebration of 'Bengali New Year 1433.' This grand festival will take place on Saturday, 11 April 2026, at the Woodville Town Hall. As with every year, the venue will be colorfully decorated, creating a vibrant atmosphere that brings a slice of Bangladesh into the busy lives of the diaspora.
According to the organizers, the Town Hall will come alive with the presence of the expatriate community starting in the afternoon. The main highlight of the event will be a captivating cultural program featuring local artists, showcasing a thousand years of Bengali heritage through music, dance, and poetry. Additionally, stalls offering a variety of traditional pitha-puli (rice cakes) and authentic local cuisine will be a major attraction.
"Our primary goal with this event is to introduce our traditions and culture to the younger generation," stated a member of the organizing committee. SABCA cordially invites all members of the Bengali community to attend the fair at Woodville Town Hall with their families.
