About the eventBecome a textile detective: What are your clothes made from?
Join us for an exciting workshop where you will become a textile detective! Have you ever wondered what your clothes are made from? In this hands-on session, you'll learn how to identify different fabrics through burn testing. Discover the secrets hidden in your wardrobe as you uncover the materials used in your garments.
We'll also delve into the world of textile recycling, exploring where and how to responsibly dispose of unwanted fabrics. Don't miss this opportunity to deepen your understanding of textiles, discuss sustainable fashion practices, and learn how to contribute to a more eco-friendly future.
Book your spot now and embark on a journey to unravel the mysteries of your wardrobe!
This workshop has a practical component. Participants are invited to bring any textiles they would like to test.
Due to the nature of the burn test (we'll be setting fire to stuff) we will need to hold this workshop outdoors on a grassed area. Please dress accordingly.
