Please bring pen and paper to take your own notes. The manual Husbandry and Diseases of Orphaned Wild Birds will likely be available for sale on the day or via the FaunaOz Education website.

Objective: The attendee should have an improved understanding about the handling and examination, housing of orphaned birds. Greater detail on how to feed orphaned birds from arrival to fledging and release will be covered.

Various conditions that birds suffer – from husbandry-related, nutritional, infectious and traumatic presentations are addressed. Preparation for release will be discussed at greater length.

The program is flexibly delivered – often a topic has a greater interest to an audience and thus a longer time may be spent. An effort is made to ensure that breaks are taken on time but may be reduced by 10 – 15 minutes if there are particular topics of interest to cover.
