Hailed as a “protest singer for the modern era”, UK folk-punk singer-songwriter Grace Petrie has become a force on the international folk scene, known for her razor-sharp lyrics, fierce politics and laugh-out-loud wit on stage. Often compared to Billy Bragg, she writes songs that rally, comfort and cut straight to the bone, tackling themes of feminism, queer identity and social justice with passion and bite.
Since her Australian debut in 2020, Petrie has rapidly earned and grown a legion of new fans around the country, winning a loyal following drawn to both her firebrand politics and her disarming charm. Her breakout single Black Tie became a queer anthem, streaming over 1.2 million times and drawing praise from MOJO, The Observer and The New Yorker.
