Celebrate the release of Robert Moore's latest novel, God is an Apricot, at this author-in-conversation book launch. Moore will be joined on stage by a special guest to discuss the book, the influence of a 1990s HIV diagnosis, the power of a feverish creative obsession, and much more. Join us as we toast this metaphysical tour de forceps.
The launch will be your first chance to grab your very own copy of the award-winning author's newest book.
Please register to secure your spot at this free event. Lunch, snacks, and drinks (including a specialty, apricot-inspired cocktail) will be available to purchase from the Diverse-City bar.
Doors and lunch from 12pm. In conversation with the author starts 1pm. Book signing immediately after.
God is an Apricot blurb:
Gabriel knows he’s sick. It’s in his blood but he refuses to accept it as a anything more than a flu that a few antibiotics could clear up. Instead, he sweats over his masterpiece, a contemporary reproduction of Swan Lake performed in the Shepherds Hill Recreation Park south of Adelaide. What begins as an artistic distraction swiftly becomes a fever-fuelled obsession.
Robert Moore’s metaphysical tour de forceps, God is an Apricot, is a surreal exploration of creative mania. It’s a headfirst dive from Gabriel’s fantasy of putting on one last big show into a mind trip of the glorious and unreal.
