Getting Your L's Workshop - June 2018
The Getting Your L’s workshop is a supported 2 day workshop and then assistance to sit the test in a supported environment. It gives you mentored support in learning the road rules, understanding how the test works and understanding information to be a better driver in the longer term.The course is run at Twelve25 Salisbury Youth Enterprise Centre, 17 Wiltshire Street, Salisbury (about a 2 minute walk from the Salisbury Interchange) in partnership with Bagster Road Community Centre Inc.For 16 - 25 year oldsCourse has a very good success rate of 97% plus Cost: $175 with lunch provided. (includes the test which is normally approx $34) - This needs to be paid by day 1 (unless prior arrangement made with FLO Case Manager or Job Network provider to pay on your behalf by Invoice). This price does not include the permit cost of $60 (This cost must be met by the client and paid direct to ServicesSA - after passing the test)The program is held on Monday 9th & Tuesday 10th April from 9.30am until 3pm and then the test is held at Bagster Road Community Centre on Friday 13th April at 10am. Bring your ID for checking on the Monday, required again on Friday.Assistance with meeting the identification criteria is supported through this program. Lunch is provided for the first two days of the program. Participants need to be 16 by day one of the program and also must present 3 documents to prove evidence of identity.ID REQUIREMENTS:Must be originals and all in the same full name.One item from Category A and two from Category B or Two items from Category A and one from Category B (The 3 documents all together must provide proof of full name, date of birth, signature & current SA residential address)Examples:
Cat A – Australian Birth Certificate (Commemorative certificates not accepted) or Australian Passport (current or expired within 2 years), SA Proof of Age Card (issued after 9th Oct 2006), Australian Naturalisation or Citizenship Document
Cat B – Bankcard (must have full name & signature on it), Student ID with photo & signature (current or expired up to 12 months), Medicare card, Telephone, gas or electricity bill (up to 6 months old)
(Need to supply if address is not included on Cat A or B document) Evidence of residential address – letter on letterhead from school of enrolment signed by principal or delegate containing full name and address, bank form - (confirmation of personal details & signature for the issue of a driver's licence form), a bank statement is not accepted, last or current financial year Australian Taxation Office tax assessment
FLO case managers booking in young people must check (physically sight) their clients ID. They cannot sit the test without correct ID. It is the responsibility of the case manager / young person to have this in place. If in doubt, ring the centre and make an appointment prior to registration to do the course and come in and get it checked. If the cost is being met by a FLO school or agency, we will invoice based on enrolment. (i.e. you will still get a bill if you don’t attend or forget). This is because each class has a maximum size and your booking is holding a place.
No refunds for non-attendance.
