All Creatures Great and Small exhibition
All Creatures Great and Small exhibition is a visual and diverse collection of artwork. Come and experience this mixed media display that celebrates all aspects of our earth’s creatures. Both realistic and conceptual artworks will be portrayed such as insects, wildlife, pets, birds and mythical animals. There are works from more than 30 artists in this exhibition and visitors can expect to see a wide variety including painting, drawing, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, woodwork and mixed media.
Works range from the large scale metalwork sculptures depicting animals and various creatures by John Steicke to the photorealistic paintings by Annette Dawson and Lorraine Brown. Textile artist, Marzena Kaczmarek, has lovely abstract felted merino wool and hand dyed silk fabric pieces. There is also some striking and lively jewellery and stunning ceramics that will be showcased.
John Steicke will have some quirky up-cycled metal sculptures depicting creepy crawlies that are ideal for the garden. Zara Zannettino has some amazing and vibrantly coloured quilted textile art pieces for the wall that feature a number of creatures, including feather details, fish and birds. Victoria Yurkova also has some intricately embroidered and beaded butterfly brooches that are able to be admired and purchased.
If you are an animal and creature lover this is the exhibition for you. There really is something to appeal to all including both traditional artwork to contemporary and abstract pieces.
