Facilitator Training for two courses will be provided through Focus on the Family & Scripture Union SA
Monday, October 22nd: 'Born Survivors'
Tuesday, October 23rd: 'No Apologies'
Suicide is the greatest cause of death in young Australians. This training course will equip you as a facilitator to help others identify and INTERVENE when warning signs present. The training will also address how communities can RESPOND in the tragic circumstance of suicide. And, finally, you will be trained to help communities PREVENT suicide through fostering resilience, well-being, and connection
'No Apologies' is a character-based sexual health curriculum, created to help young people safely navigate love and sex. In a world where young people access easily and daily all kinds of deceptive and destructive information online, 'No Apologies' empowers teens to develop positive character traits to make good choices. This course covers numerous aspects under the units 1) Who am I? 2) The Media and You 3) Boundaries and Choices, and 4) Healthy Relationships
These courses are designed for pastors, teachers, parents, and youth leaders to be used in schools, youth groups, churches and the wider community. They are highly accessible programs for Christian and non-Christian contexts.
