And you are in for a treat with our readers for the night - Cath Kenneally and Arantza Garcia Ferrand - both of them national award winners.

Tracy Crisp's latest book Pearls: Memoir Strands was recently launched by publisher Pink Shorts Press. Pearls is based on the stories of her six solo monologues which she has been writing, performing and producing since 2018. Tracy has previously published two novels, Black Dust Dancing and Surrogate with Wakefield Press. She is working on her third novel manuscript derived from her latest monologue Who Killed Gough Whitlam. In 2027 she will be launching what she believes to be the world’s first soap opera for telephones ‘Hey babe, it’s me.’
Tracy will be interviewed by Jo Case, a writer, editor and reviewer based on Kaurna country. She is currently editor of Books & Ideas at The Conversation and has been associate publisher at Wakefield Press, senior writer/editor at the Wheeler Centre, program manager of Melbourne Writers Festival, deputy editor of Australian Book Review and books editor of The Big Issue. Jo was a founding board member of the Stella Prize, a founding associate editor of K*ll Your Darlings, and co-founder of the Feminist Writers Festival. Jo is also the author of Boomer & me : a memoir of motherhood and Asperger's (Hardie Grant).

Cath Kenneally is an award-winning poet, novelist, broadcaster, reviewer and arts writer. Her latest book publication is The Green Room - her eighth collection of poetry. Her two novels are Room Temperature and Jetty Road and her monograph on ceramicist Angela Valamanesh appeared in 2009. She won the John Bray National Poetry Award for Around Here in 2002. Cath lives in Adelaide and spends part of each year in Tasmania. She co-hosts the podcast Tsundoku ‘for addicted readers’.

Arantza Garcia Ferrand is a Peruvian writer, living and performing on unceded Kaurna Country. She is an organiser, co-host and designer for The Gathered Sound, a poetry open mic platforming the voices and experiences of poets of colour. She was shortlisted for the Deep Creek residency in 2025, and has had her work published in a Pure Slush anthology. Arantza is the 2025 Australian Slam Champion, having competed in the national finals at the Sydney Opera House, and has performed at several festivals, galleries, and charity events. She will tour her poetry internationally during 2026, along with publishing her debut prose collection Cotton-Stuffed with Pink Shorts Press in 2027.
