On behalf of the Brahma Kumaris Australia – Adelaide Branch, it is with great pleasure that we invite you, your family and friends to the Dashain Tihar Mahotsav 2025 — a grand celebration honouring Nepalese culture, tradition, spirituality, and community spirit.
The main aim of this event is to preserve and promote the heritage of Dashain and Tihar, the two most significant Nepalese festivals, and to strengthen the cultural connection for the younger Nepalese generation growing up in Australia.
These festivals go beyond rituals and entertainment — they embody profound spiritual meanings:
Dashain symbolises the victory of good over evil, reminding us to overcome our inner weaknesses and live with righteousness.
Tihar, the Festival of Lights, honours the sacred bond between humans, animals, and nature. It also highlights the seven colours, representing virtues such as Purity, Peace, Love, Bliss, Power, and Knowledge.
The Brahma Kumaris is a global spiritual movement dedicated to personal transformation and world renewal. Through Raja Yoga meditation, we aim to help individuals experience inner peace, self-awareness, and a deeper connection with the Divine. With centres in over 110 countries, the Adelaide branch offers regular programs in spiritual education and self-development.
