The Australian Samba Retreat returns in 2026 for four unforgettable days of movement, music, culture and connection - guided by master facilitators and grounded in Afro-Brazilian lineage, rhythm and ritual.
From 2–5 October 2026, join us in Adelaide for a deep immersion into samba as a lived cultural expression - not just something you learn, but something you feel, embody and carry with you.
This gathering is for dancers and movers who want to learn beyond steps in the studio. It’s for those ready to experience samba in its fullness: the stories, the ancestry, the musicality, the joy, the collective energy that transforms practice into meaning.
Across four rich days, you’ll take part in over 25 hours of immersive workshops and cultural programming, learning directly from artists who are custodians of the culture and art form. Expect technical expertise, cultural insight, embodied learning, and the powerful sense of community the Retreat is known for.
