Discover Greylock Summit Freedom Hike
Friday, July 4th, 11am-2pm.

Declare your freedom on this Independence Day with a breezy, scenic hike at the highest peak in Massachusetts! Starting at the summit, this 2-mile ramble follows a segment of the Appalachian Trail and explores stunning vistas, boreal sub-alpine forest and the legendary 1930s-Era Thunderbolt Ski Trail. Elevation changes and topography require some steeper climbs on moderately difficult trails.

Open to ages 8 and older. All Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Bring drinking water, a snack, bug spray and sunscreen. Trekking poles are recommended. Inclement weather cancels.

Meet at the bronze relief map at the summit. No parking fees apply. Registration is recommended. For more information, please call (413) 499-4262.
