In uncertain times, everyday worries multiply. Will there be enough for groceries this week? Can we afford gas to get to work? When families are stretched thin just putting meals on the table, 'normal' childhood experiences like summer camp can feel out of reach. We hear this every year from families: "If we don't have a little bit of help, we won't be able to make camp happen this year."
But every child deserves to experience the transformative power of camp—the friendships, the growth, the encounter with God's love in creation. Cost should never be a barrier... and we won't let it be.
In 2025, we gave away $10,000 in scholarships to 37 families who needed support (the most since 2020). As we look ahead to 2026, we know the need will only grow.
That's why we're stepping up. Join us for our Virtual Walkathon on December 2, 2025 and help us raise $10,000 to keep Coldstream's doors open to every family, regardless of their financial situation!
How to Participate:
Create your fundraising page on Zeffy, gather pledges from friends and family, and walk wherever you are on December 2nd—your neighborhood, a favorite trail, or even your own backyard! You can create your fundraising page today and start collecting pledges and sharing your impact story.
The amount of pledges you collect will determine how far you walk. For example, you can encourage folks to pledge $25/mile. If you walk 4 miles, that's $100!
You can also get your small group, family, or friends together and make it a team effort. Do you have 10 people walking on your team? If they each get 10 people to pledge $25 per mile, you can raise $1,000 (walking the same distance)!
Can't walk? Donate directly to teams and help them meet their goal!
When worry keeps families up at night, let's be the community that says: "Your child belongs at camp." Your support ensures that no family has to choose between today's necessities and tomorrow's memories. Together, we can give dozens more families the gift of camp in 2026.
