As Acton elementary families prepare for a year of big school transitions, Danny’s Place and Huntington Learning Center of Acton are helping organize a simple community gathering to help kids reconnect, meet new classmates, parents connect with other families, and everyone start the school year feeling supported.

Families are invited to join us for a relaxed back-to-school playdate with simple kid-friendly activities, a memories & hopes activity, and a school supply drive to support local classrooms.

Gardner Field Playground, Mass Ave, Acton

We are also collecting school supplies for Acton elementary classrooms. Most-needed items include pencils, washable markers, glue sticks, dry erase markers, scissors, erasers, tissues, disinfecting wipes, paper towels, and other classroom basics. Donations are welcome, but you do not have to bring anything to participate and have fun!

Thank you to the local businesses and organizations, including Alma Mater, Magenta Dance Place, The Silver Unicorn Bookstore, True West, and West Side Creamery, for supporting this community effort.
