The Antelope Valley Community Emergency Response Team (AVCERT) invites you to take part in our upcoming CERT basic training course! This hands-on program, based on the FEMA curriculum, teaches essential disaster response skills—including fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and basic first aid.
Participants will learn how to protect themselves, assist their families and neighbors, and support professional responders during emergencies and disasters.
Why join CERT training?
Ready to take action?
Register today to reserve your spot in the March AVCERT training class! No experience needed—just a commitment to learn, serve, and help keep our community safe.
This comprehensive training course will be conducted over three consecutive Saturdays—March 7, 14, and 21. Participants will receive a CERT manual, backpack, helmet, vest, and additional training equipment. Light refreshments, including snacks and beverages, will be provided.
Attendance at all three sessions is required to qualify for a Certificate of Completion. The program includes multiple hands-on practice opportunities, so participants are encouraged to come prepared for active engagement throughout the training.
