Exhibition Preview Event: Thursday 16th April, 6 – 8pm

The exhibition features works from artists Richard Cross, Steve Baldwin, Laura Coyne, Mark Edmundson, Heather Burns, Maureen De Rome, Matt Bell and Jamie Stanley. Some of these are young recent graduates; others are mature, mid and late career artists. A common denominator amongst them is considerable experience of working in art education. 
The themes explored in the work in this exhibition varies from pieces that reflect upon public issues such as identity, globalisation, and the environmental, to more personal and private concerns, such as reflections on memory, friendships, love and the ageing process.
Many in the group demonstrate a commitment to the challenge of seeking the extraordinary in the ordinary, of viewing humble things with intensity, and of exploring the possibilities of ordinary everyday life as a starting point. They all produce work that's not purely commercial in motivation and intention.
