“Experience Volta” is an innovative cultural and tourism event designed to highlight the rich heritage and traditions of Ghana’s Volta Region. The initiative will serve as a platform to celebrate and package Ewe culture for both national and international audiences. The maiden edition, “Experience Volta in Accra,” brings the Volta Region to the capital city, setting the tone for future editions in Kumasi, Cape Coast, and beyond.
This event will blend traditional music, dance, cuisine, fashion, exhibitions, and interactive storytelling to provide an immersive cultural experience. It also creates economic opportunities for local businesses and promotes tourism by highlighting the region’s attractions.
7:00 AM: Gates Open – Exhibition Pavilion (Forecourt) opens to the public
8:00AM: Procession of Chiefs, Traditional Priests and Safo Groups ( 37 officers mess to Elwak- stadium
10:00 AM – 12:00 AM: Mini Durbar of invited dignitaries and chiefs
11:00 AM Onwards: Drumming, Dancing, and Volta Cuisine Tasting
8:00 PM: Experience Volta Concert – With performances from Volta Artists
