Suzannah is to bring the art of sonnet writing to Aberford Literature Festival in what is sure to be a great workshop.‘I thought for the workshop we could look at sonnets,’ says Suzannah. ‘There is a lot of variety available, from the more classic Shakespearean ones we do at school to much looser interpretations of the 14 lines, so hopefully it would be quite liberating to have a go!’‘We all know they have fourteen lines, but what makes a sonnet? In this writing workshop we'll look at sonnets of all kinds, traditional and contemporary, and think about what they contain and how they come to life on the page, and we'll try writing some of our own.Suzannah has taught courses for and workshops for Museums Sheffield, Leeds Museums, Hear My Voice Barnsley and at the Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery at Leeds University.
