CROSSING THE RUBICON
Warhammer Aberdeen: SUMMER OF HOBBY 2021
Event BEGINS 12TH June ends 28th august
Our Summer of Hobby 2021 continues with something a little different. This hobby challenge should help keep the creative juices flowing throughout the Summer and by the end of August give you something pretty cool for your display areas.
What is Crossing the Rubicon?
This event is about creating in miniature, a character of your own design, and showing their transition through the ages of their lives. Heroes rise from the ranks, Legends are moulded from war and sometimes even the greatest of warriors live long enough to become the Villain.
This event chronicles that history and encourages you to use your imagination to create the three stages of a Hero, or Villain’s life in miniature form.
What do I need to do?
You will create 3 miniatures to represent the three stages of you’re characters life. This can be as simple as an Astartes transitioning from Scout to Marine to Primaris, or could take the form of a lowly infantry soldier, to Captain of the Free Cities to Stormcast Legend. Your character may even fall prey to the ruinous powers and journey from innocent, to Hero of the people to Villainous betrayer! The options are pretty much endless and we can’t wait to see what you create for us.
How do I get involved:
To take part you will need create the following:
• Build and paint 3 models to represent the three stages of your characters life. Once finished bring them into the store or send us images of them and we will showcase them all for everyone to see at the end of the Summer.
• Conversion is encouraged for this event, please be sure to use only Games Workshop parts and remember your character can be from any Games Workshop system.
• You may also write some lore to describe your character and the stages of their lives – all you writers go crazy here!
That’s pretty much it. We look forward to seeing what you have for us and if you have any questions about this event or how to take part then please ask staff for details. Good luck!
