- **Event Description**: Following great interest last year, and the difficulty in organising a Repair Cafe using our Plastic Free Stonehaven insurance, the PFS team is hosting a Repair Cafe Info Evening to hopefully come up with a plan on how to start one in Stonehaven.

If you’re interested in hearing about how Repair Cafes operate and are keen to help make it happen here, come along to Stonehaven Scout Hut on Wednesday 29th April at 7.15pm-8.30pm.  

Ideally we can create a team of folk to take things forward, some organisers plus people with skills to fix different kinds of items like clothes, bikes, computers, toys, electrical items and businesses which offer repair services. Repair Cafes work well in many places across the country including in Aberdeenshire, reducing the waste involved in sending perfectly usable items to landfill.

The idea is that people can bring things for mending, perhaps learn some basic skills for fixing items, encouraging reuse of items which may have otherwise ended up in landfill.
