I’m so excited to invite you to a Women’s Only Introduction to Self-Defense Seminar that I am hosting as part of my Community Service Initiative,
? The Purple Path to Safety: Advocacy for Children Overcoming Abuse ?

One of the ways I believe we can help children live in safer homes is by supporting the women who are trying to escape abusive situations and protect their children. This seminar is about empowerment, education, and breaking down barriers so that safety is accessible to everyone.

The seminar will be instructed by Coach Joe Marchie of Grays Harbor Grappling Academy, who is a Marine veteran and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt. He will be teaching practical, real-world self-defense skills along with situational awareness in a supportive and respectful environment.

? What You’ll Learn
    •    Practical self-defense techniques you can actually use
    •    Situational awareness and personal safety strategies

?‍? Who Can Attend
    •    Women and girls ages 12 and up
    •    This is a women’s-only seminar

? Childcare Support
While we don’t have a formal childcare facility, we will have volunteers available in the lobby to help with children so that women who might not otherwise be able to attend still have the opportunity. We are truly about breaking down barriers.

? Donation-Based Entry
This seminar is donation entry — give what you can.
If all you can give is your presence and participation, that is more than enough 

If you are able to donate, all donations will go directly to local domestic violence shelters.
Donations we are accepting include:
    •    Cash
    •    Socks
    •    Hygiene products
    •    Gift cards for food or gas
