Dwie kultury i dwa muzyczne światy.

Podczas tego koncertu na scenie usłyszymy Paulina Przybysz wokalistkę kompozytorkę i współtwórczyni kultowego duetu Sistars, znaną z charakterystycznego głosu oraz łączenia soulu, R&B, jazzu i elektroniki. W swojej najnowszej płycie 'Insides' artystka zagląda do własnego wnętrza – porusza tematy emocji, cielesności, macierzyństwa i autentyczności. Album łączy organiczne brzmienia z nowoczesną produkcją, tworząc intymną, dojrzałą i refleksyjną opowieść. 

Do współpracy nad „Insides” Przybysz zaprosiła czołówkę muzyków nowej generacji polskiego jazzu, będących częścią rewolucji zachodzącej od ponad dekady na scenach muzyki improwizowanej całego świata. Marek Pędziwiatr na fortepianie i syntezatorach, Tymon Kosma na wibrafonie, Wiktoria Jakubowska na perkusji, Olaf Węgier na saksofonie tenorowym i Krzysztof Baranowski na kontrabasie.

‘Estuary Trio’ otworzy wieczór, to formacja złożona z wybitnych muzyków sceny jazzoweji i folkowej. W jego skład wchodzą: saksofonista Matthew Kilner Music i gitarzysta elektryczny Graeme Stephen – obaj pochodzący z Aberdeen – oraz libański kontrabasista Elie Afif. 

To będzie wieczór pełen emocji, improwizacji i muzycznego dialogu między Polską a Szkocją.

? Polish-Scottish Mini Festival oraz Aberdeen Jazz Festival  are delighted to invite you to an extraordinary concert   ?

Two cultures and two musical worlds. 

During this concert, we will hear  Paulina Przybysz, vocalist, composer and co-creator of the cult duo Sistars, known for her characteristic voice and combination of soul, R&B, jazz and electronica. In her latest album 'Insides', the artist looks inside herself – she touches on the topics of emotions, corporeality, motherhood and authenticity. The album combines organic sounds with modern production, creating an intimate, mature and reflective story.  

Paulina Przybysz invited the leading musicians of the new generation of Polish jazz, who are part of the revolution that has been taking place for over a decade on improvised music scenes around the world, to collaborate on "Insides". Marek Pędziwiatr on piano and synthesizers, Tymon Kosma on vibraphone, Wiktoria Jakubowska on drums, Olaf Węgier on tenor saxophone and Krzysztof Baranowski on double bass.

The 'Estuary Trio' is an ensemble made up of some of the finest contemporary musicians in Scotland. Comprised of Aberdonians  Matthew Kilner Music and Graeme Stephen (electric guitar) plus Lebanese bass player Elie Afif (double bass) the band explores collective improvisation over jazz and folk themes. 

It will be an evening full of emotions, improvisation and musical dialogue between Poland and Scotland.
