We have new date for Stories and songs in the North-East Bothy tradition, a show that made a big impact at Edinburgh TradFest, Do't miss the ocassion of enjoy this event in the land of the musicians and storytellers who bring it to life: ballad singer Allan Taylor, fiddler Karin Paterson, and storytellers Phyll McBain and Jackie Ross.

This performance is rooted in the bothy tradition — the songs and stories once shared by farm workers in the bothies of the North East. Full of humour, resilience, and local flavour, these tales have carried across generations and continue to inspire new voices today.

The Aberdeen and Beyond Storytelling Festival  is organised by the @ElphinstoneInstitute  and the Grampian Association of Storytellers (GAS), with support from the Scottish International Storytelling Festival(SISF), and TRACS - Traditional Arts and Culture Scotland, and in collaboration with the Scottish Storytelling Centre, Traditional Music and Song Association of Scotland (TMSA Aberdeen), the University of Aberdeen, St. Peter's Heritage Centre and Hall, Peterculter, and Culter library.
