Through both her personal and professional experience, she has seen first-hand the positive impact Makaton can have on communication, confidence and inclusion.This taster session is ideal for parents, carers, family members, volunteers and professionals who would like to learn more about Makaton and how it can be used to support communication. No previous experience is required.During the session, Karen will introduce some basic signs and symbols, explain how Makaton can be used alongside speech, and share practical tips for using it at home, in education and within the community.Please note: This is a small-group learning session designed for parents, carers and professionals who wish to learn Makaton. The session will take place in a small room with limited space, so it is not suitable for younger children or those who are not participating in the learning activities.
