Events start at 10:30am with the qualifying heavy events. 

The Claymore Homes Light events start at 1pm as do the open heavy events that include the Morris’s Hotel British Caber Championship. 

The first massed bands is at 1:20pm. The bands will appear throughout the afternoon individually and together - City of Aberdeen Pipe Band, Huntly & District Pipe Band, Inverurie Pipe Band, Kintore Pipe Band, Lonach Pipe Band and Meldrum Academy & Highland Granite Development Pipe Band. 

At 2pm the Meldrum 5 miler starts followed by the one mile kids race. 

The MRG Elctrical Services highland dancing competitions start in the arena at 2.15pm. 

In the marquee will be Wrestlezone along with a photography display from the Oldmeldrum & Bourtie Heritage Society. Magic Jono will also be there doing magic and balloon modelling for the kids. 

In the main arena will be the Rollstud Drum Majors display at 2.45pm and the Mace O’er the Banner competition at 3.45pm.

There will be an array of trade stands offering a variety of goods and fundraising for local charities and groups.

At the top of the field will be Wrights Funfair.

                "description": "Kintore Pipe Band currently comprises of about 25 pipers and 10 drummers with members of all ages coming from all walks of life.  In keeping with many bands, there are strong family ties within and it is not uncommon for Brothers, Sisters, Mums, Daughters, Fathers, Sons, Husbands and Wives to be playing side by side.  The band's home town is the Royal Burgh of Kintore which is situated in Aberdeenshire in the north eastern corner of Scotland, just 15 miles from Aberdeen.\n\nThe pipers and drummers enjoy playing throughout the season at locations all over the north east at Fairs, Galas, Weddings, Charity Events and Highland Gatherin's! Not confined to the north east the band are seasoned travellers playing at locations as far away as the Czech Republic and Belgium. A small contingent of the band have also played in New York, Italy and more recently the Pipe Major impressed audiences in Kazakhstan! \n\nKintore Pipe Band are one of few bands which has survived and entertained continuously for 90 years - a claim that very few bands can make.  The band are principally interested in playing for enjoyment, but occasionally participate in competitions. We have been known to pick up the odd prize too! Forres Games in 1999 saw the Drum Corp win third prize, Braemar Highland Gatherin' 2001 saw Kintore win best turned out band with the trophy presented by none other than Her Majesty the Queen, and in 2004 the Oldmeldrum Sports day brought further success with Kintore picking up another trophy.\n\nThe band has many juniors eagerly practising hard so that they can join the band on its engagements.  Band practice occurs every Monday evening from 7.30pm at the Kintore Primary School.  Beginner pipers meet on Thursday evenings, also at the school, from 7.30pm (this class is not held during school holidays).  If you are interested in coming along then please get in touch.\n\n"
