Clouds scud and wheel across the sky in a programme that celebrates the joy of deep breaths and the full possibilities of the human voice. Caroline Shaw’s origami-inspired How to fold the wind and Aaron Jay Kernis’ diaphanous Ecstatic Meditations sit at the heart of the each half, framed by sixteenth-century polyphony from John Sheppard and John Taverner—music that folds back on itself over and again, inviting us to look up and marvel at its vaulted lines.
This performance will be BSL interpreted, please email aW5mbyB8IGR1bmVkaW4tY29uc29ydCAhIG9yZyAhIHVr if you require accessible seating.
