Find out how to care for your  traditional and church buildingsAbout this EventCome and spend a Saturday morning finding out about caring for your traditional building, whether that be an individual granite home, a flat in a granite tenement, a community hall or a place of worship.Who is this event for?This event is suitable for house or flat owners, property managers including those in charge of tenements, community/public buildings and places of worship of traditional construction.There has never been a more important time to ensure that traditionally constructed property is working as it should. Well maintained buildings function more thermally efficiently and provide a foundation for considering what else can be done to improve thermal performance. It can, however, be challenging to know how to take maintenance and repair projects forward.Plenty of time will be provided for questions during the course of the morning so bring your queries.09:30 Registration and refreshments10:00-11:45 Presentations from:Craig Wilson (RGU) is a building surveying lecturer at Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment with decades of experience of looking at building condition/ pathology. Craig is a director and Chair of Aberdeen City Heritage Trust.Ian Mitchell Davidson is an RICS accredited Historic Building Professional with over 40 years' experience. He is a Trustee of Historic Churches Scotland, Hon Prof at RGU, and an elected Guardian for SPAB Scotland. In addition, he is a member of the RICS group that advises the Institution on conservation nationally and internationally.Douglas Campbell- runs Aberdeen City Heritage Trust and has experience of supporting the repair of over 265 buildings in Aberdeen since 2005.
