Join us for the fourth annual Abbotsford High School volleyball fundraiser tournament, The Flocking Bazaar! This tournament will be indoor hard court, coed 6s! All funds will go to the Abbotsford High School volleyball program!
Entry is $120, and there will be a maximum of 20 teams, and the tournament will be run as a single + elimination bracket style. This means that every team will be guaranteed at least two matches in bracket play!
There will be 0% payout, but there will be prizes from local businesses for the winning teams.
Standard 6's volleyball rules.
- If there is an argument, replay the point.
- Open hand tips are allowed.
- Let serves are legal.
- Setting over is legal.
- Backrow attacks are legal, as long as the attacker jumps fully behind the 10-foot line.
- There will be no refs, so call your own calls (in/out, carry, nets, etc).
- Teams cannot have more men than women on the court at any time.
- All games will be played using rally scoring.
- There is no coed rule.
- Players may double contact any first ball over (including serves).
- Players may double contact any set provided they are attempting to set their teammate with one motion, and the ball does not go over. This is only for sets.
- A block is not counted as a team hit.
- Foot Digs are legal.
- If a player steps into another court at any point, the play is dead (Even if a game is not currently being played on that court, as long as a net is up).
- Teams that started the game serve receiving must rotate on their first side out.
- Back row players may not block.
- A 10 minute forfeit rule is in effect, in conjunction with the tournament director discretion.
- Rankings will be determined in each pool by the following order: Wins, Head to Head, then Point Differential. If it is not resolved by these three criteria, we will flip a coin.
- We will run a 20 team single + elimination bracket at the conclusion of pool play.
- Nets will be set to men’s height.
There will be concessions, but feel free to bring food. We will have a list of places that sponsored the tournament, so please try to buy from those businesses if possible!
There will be a raffle fundraiser for a volleyball as well, so keep an eye out for that when you get to the tournament!!
