We’re heading to Matsqui Tail Park for a day on the Fraser with Shorelord and Fred’s Custom Tackle.

This is an open shoreline fishing day for any angler — beginner to experienced.

Bring your rod, find a spot along the river, and spend the day fishing alongside the local community.

? A valid BC tidal waters fishing licence is required.
? Gear is not provided.

? Tip: Bring a lighter rod if you have one — you’re welcome to bring a second setup, and if the sturgeon bite is slow, you can switch to pike minnow fishing with worms.

We’ll be on-site to:

? Share sturgeon fishing tips and techniques
? Demonstrate proper catch and release handling (if a fish is landed)
? Show a live fish tagging/scanner setup
? Hang out, talk gear, and answer questions

? Boaters welcome — please anchor a safe distance from shore and keep clear of casting zones.

? VOLUNTEERS WELCOME

We’re looking for a few extra hands to help throughout the day — tying hooks, assisting anglers, and keeping things running smoothly on the shoreline.

If you have extra rods and are willing to lend them out for the day, that’s appreciated.
