If so we want you on our team! We’re looking for energetic volunteers to help us clear some invasive plants at Fishtrap Creek Park in Abbotsford. Tools and training will be provided but feel free to bring your own pruners and gloves.Before we take action Jon our Habitat Enhancement Coordinator will share information about species that call Fishtrap Creek Park home.Volunteer Assets:Be able to bend kneel and pull.Capable of working on uneven and sloped terrain.Comfortable using gardening tools such as shovels trowels and hand pruners.Be able to differentiate between invasive plant species and native plant species.Species being removed are English ivy Himalayan blackberry and lamium.Important Reminders:  Registration required. This activity is adult-oriented; children are welcome with adult supervision.If you are signing up as a group of 5+ please contact patricia@fraservalleyconservancy.ca to confirm with us first.
