# Event Details - **Event Name**: Drive for Dignity - **Event Start and End Date**: Thu, 24 Nov, 2022 at 05:30 pm – Thu, 24 Nov, 2022 at 09:00 pm - **Event Description**: Join Wellspring for an engaging dinner fundraiser as together we raise $30,000 for new vehicles to reach rural communities in East Africa.About this EventEvery journey begins with a single step. For the educational trainers of The Wellspring Foundation for Education, that journey may take them along pitted and washed-out roads, hundreds of kilometres off the beaten path into the heart of rural East Africa. At the journey’s end are children and communities that need inclusive, quality education to lift families out of poverty and help these children reach their full potential. We are facing a global education crisis. Here's what YOU can do about it:On November 24, 2022, we hope that you'll journey with us to the Clayburn Village Schoolhouse in Abbotsford. Guests will hear from Wellspring's staff about what it really means to 'Drive for Dignity', and together we will fundraise $30,000 for new vehicles to transport our Rwandan and Ugandan colleagues into the rural communities where they are needed most. Join us for an engaging and interactive evening of dinner, drinks and conversation as you learn about how YOU can make a difference in the lives of children in East Africa!By 2030, over half of the children in the world will live in sub-saharan Africa. Each of them deserves a flourishing life, access to an education that equips them to succeed in today’s world, and the development of their nation. To reach rural communities in need of quality education, the first step is an adequate means of transport.Learn more about The Wellspring Foundation for Education and our efforts to empower those who lead, teach, and raise Rwanda's children at Wellspring.ngo.
