- **Event Description**: Calling all 8th grade teachers! On April 24, 2026, downtown Abbeville will turn into one massive hands-on career adventure—Dream It, Do It Day! Hundreds of students from across Southeast Alabama will explore the careers of tomorrow through real professionals, real equipment, and real excitement.
 
Hosted by The ATTA and Southeast Alabama STEM, this event brings students and professionals together for one incredible day of career exploration. Students will get up close with Auburn University’s new Geo Explorer Van, HudsonAlpha’s lab tool interactive, University of Alabama’s battery science lab, Extension’s Mobile STEM Lab, SWAT demo, Alabama Power’s ALEX Trailer, SARHA Van, a Thunderbird Pilot, robots, trucks, tractors, bees, chickens, a cow, and even a NASA engineer launching tabletop rockets.
 
Plus—students will meet local role models in uniform:
? pilots (with helicopter) • ?‍⚕️ doctors • ?‍? nurses • ? construction workers • ?‍? firefighters • ? scientists • ? engineers • ? FBI • and many more!
 
“Reading about careers can spark curiosity, but meeting someone who actually does the job—someone who walked the same school halls—turns curiosity into confidence.” said Sandy Armstrong, ATTA Science Teacher. “Our students need to see that greatness grows in places like Southeast Alabama”
