'Nachtland' is een bijtende satire waarin het Europese erfgoed en de verdere opmars van uiterst rechts onder de loep worden genomen. Dat klinkt allemaal heel ernstig en dat is het ook, maar de pen van Von Mayenburg zorgt ervoor dat die ernst gekleed gaat in een mantel van hilarisch verbaal vuurwerk.

'Nachtland', geschreven in opdracht van het Royal Court Theatre in London, ging in première op 3 december 2022 en zal nu voor het eerst in het Nederlands te zien zijn.
