Fondo del Sol Visual Arts Center is pleased to present the debut exhibit, “Seeing With Spiral Eyes: An Artist’s Journey through South and Central America,” by Madeline Susan Lynch.
“Seeing With Spiral Eyes” features photos and abstract paintings inspired by the artist’s recent travels through Argentina, Peru, Costa Rica and Mexico. Her work re-imagines organic forms and iconic symbols -- pulled from ancient myths, religions and folklore -- to evoke a meditative state infused with the healing energy of bright colors and recurring designs.
Fondo Del Sol is the nation’s second oldest Latino multicultural museum, and D.C’s only multicultural museum. It focuses on the art and cultural heritage of the people of the Americas.
Madeline Lynch graduated from American University in 2009 with a double major Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Studio Art. She is a massage therapist and Reiki practitioner.
