Day 01 May 21st 2012 Arrive Trivandrum – LBC Campus
On arrival assist and transfer to LBC campus at Vilappilsala which is at a distance of 17Km from the railway station. On arrival registration and check in to the dormitories. Overnight in dormitories at the Campus

Day 02 May 22nd 2012 LBC Campus, Trivandrum
Breakfast at the campus later we begin the workshop as per the below mentioned schedule. Lunch, tea and dinner will be served at the campus. All site visits will be conducted in non air-conditioned vehicles. Today we visit Hamlet, This is Baker's home in Trivandrum. The house is built on five levels on a plot of land along the slope of a rocky hill, with limited access to water: conditions most people would never dream of building anything much less their homes under! However Baker's genius has created a wonderful home for his family and East Fort, which got its name from the eastern entrance to the fort built by the Kings of Travancore. The old city was all inside the fort on four sides with the Sri Padmanabha Swamy temple at the center.

Day 03 May 23rd 2012 LBC Campus, Trivandrum
Breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner will be served at the campus. Schedule of the day mentioned below. This day we shall have hands on training and to end with a cultural show. Today we have an introduction to CDS & IISE and Hands on training on brick bonds, filler slabs and arches later we also have screening of a documentary on Laurie Baker Overnight in dormitories at the Campus

Day 04 May 24th 2012 LBC Campus, Trivandrum
Breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner will be served at the campus. Schedule of the day mentioned below. This day we shall be visiting Krashaka Bhavan - Located on the banks of a canal, in the middle of a budding orchard and sprawling landscaped grounds, it can be easily mistaken for one of the new resorts beckoning tourists to God's Own Country, CDS – which was one of the largest public buildings designed by Mr Baker and IISE - situated on the banks of Vellayani Lake, the IISE today is a design marvel in more than one way. IISE integrates many eco-friendly and energy-efficient features within its three-acre campus. . Overnight in dormitories at the Campus

Day 05 LBC May 25th 2012 Campus – Padmanabhapuram Palace – LBC Campus
Breakfast at the campus; later proceed for site visit of Padmanabhapuram Palace - A magnificent wooden palace of the 16th century, An enticing edifice is a fine specimen of Kerala's indigenous style of architecture as mentioned below in schedule. Lunch and evening tea will be at local restaurant and dinner will be at campus. Overnight in dormitories at the Campus

Day 06 LBC May 26th 2012 Campus, Trivandrum
Breakfast at the campus; whole day schedule as mentioned below, lunch and dinner will be at LBC, evening tea will be at site during site visit. This day we visit Karimadom Colony - which is the second largest slum of Trivandrum, the settlement is spread over 5 hectares, this evening we shall also have our concluding session as this is the last day of the programme. Overnight in dormitories at the Campus

Day 07 May 27th 2012 LBC Campus – Trivandrum railway station drop
Breakfast at the campus, later check out and transfer to railway station in time for your train to next destination.

Workshop fees Rs.8350\-per person.

Fees Includes
• Accommodation in dormitories at LBC for 6 nights.
• All meals staring from Breakfast on the day of arrival and ending with breakfast on the day of departure.
• All workshop and professional fees.
• All site visits & educational visits in Kerala.
• All applicable taxes.
• A Bottle of Mineral Water Daily.
• Arrival and Departure transfer from Trivandrum Railway station to LBC.

Fees does not Include
• Bus, train or air fare from any destination to Kerala and back.
• Evening Tea and Snacks.
• Telephone charges, laundry charges and miscellaneous expense.


Food & Beverage Details
All meals during the workshop of 05 days are included in the cost. Meals served will be ethnic, traditional Kerala cuisine and Indian but unlimited on the basis of Veg and Non Veg preferences. An Ideal breakfast will be any one item of Indian with Tea & Coffee. Lunch will be biriyanis or a mini buffet of veg and non veg dishes served right at the venue of workshop. Dinners will unlimited meal of veg and non veg preparation with sweet dish. Breakfast & Dinners will be served in the accommodation itself.

Things to Carry
Sketch Pad, Pencils, Pens, Digital Cameras, Laptops (Optional), measuring tapes and loads of energy and enthusiasm.

Please note
• These are a very intensive workshop and please cooperate with the coordinators to make this a very successful and rewarding summer workshop.
• Any night outs and partying out is discouraged during the workshop. Please cooperate.
• Students can extend stay for a couple of more nights as per interest to enjoy the other side of Kerala. Rates of the same will be charged as per actual.
