About The Host:
I've practiced mindfulness for over forty years and studied the science of happiness and metaphysics. This includes conducting interdisciplinary research. Along the way, I've worked with prominent leaders and trainers, personal mentors and esteemed teachers.Right upfront I tell students I don't teach traditional writing courses. I teach intuitive-oriented inquiry and wise mind strategies. This is what I practice and what I love to talk about. I often talk to people about unfolding and re-Visioning their story, and go beyond that task to find meaning and self-esteem through writing into their personal mythos. The workshops offer you a gentle, easy-as-you go experience to get you there. I have a straightforward approach to teaching. Making change in your life should be a natural process of gentle unfoldment. You'll hear me say this often. You don't have to be a writer to practice mindfulness. As a former English professor, I know your first reaction to writing may be less than enthusiastic. And I know full well there are people who seriously don't write. So trust me when I tell you it is possible to go beyond writing. It is not just about the words. The inside process of writing-for-insight helps you find a way forward into joy.I should mention the workshops started in 2012 at public libraries, social clubs and organizations. It was a way to give something back to my local community. My passion became my mission. So I decided it was time to make this available to those who want to find a new and meaningful purpose in life. So, whatever you do keep in mind that written words activate new movement toward personal fulfillment.
