Tower Art Gallery is proud to announce 'Outside the Lines', a book launch and photography exhibition by Lucinda Grange. A Hartlepool based photographer, Lucinda has quickly risen to become one of the most interesting artists in an underworld sub-culture of extreme photography, a practice that not only involves great photographic knowledge but often also a high degree of subterfuge. Lucinda regularly dices with death to capture compelling images, now this extreme photographer is sharing her death defying feats with the world as she takes her remarkable life to print.
'Outside the Lines' is the first book by Lucinda and will feature the breath-taking image of the North-East artist balancing precariously on one of the eagles of the iconic Chrysler Building in New York. Other notable climbs completed by Lucinda include the largest pyramid at Giza, Notre Dame in Paris, the Angel of the North, the Shard and the chimney at Battersea Power Station in London.
Her photography has been admired world-wide and published in magazines such as GQ and TimeOut and now is your chance to meet the regions best kept secret and pick up signed prints by the artist at our opening preview, 7-10pm, Friday 24th of January. For those who would like to know more about the stories behind the work we are also offering a unique chance to hear Lucinda talk about her adventures in an intimate artist talk, the following week at Tower Art Gallery.
Opening Preview: Friday 24th January, 7-10pm
Artist Talk: Saturday 1st February, 2pm £4.
