A walk tailored to early years children. A sense of achievement as we gently walk up to the highest point in Glasgow and take in the view. With a picnic and story with teddy at the top. Don't forget a picnic lunch, sensible shoes and clothing and Ted.

About The Host:
May is National Walking Month so is the perfect time for the first Glasgow Walking & Wheeling Festival – a chance to celebrate walking in all its forms; for active travel, for health, for leisure, for learning, for FUN! The Festival is being led by Glasgow City Council’s Avenues team who are creating a network of pedestrian and cycle-friendly routes bringing improved connectivity into the city centre featuring trees, rain gardens and enhanced lighting. In partnership with Glasgow Life, Sustrans and other organisations they hope to inspire and encourage people to get out and experience the benefits of walking.Running from 11th – 25th May, the Festival launches with an event on Saturday 11th May at Glasgow Green, 11am-3pm with activities for all ages and abilities. Expect info stands, guided walks, activity zone, face painting, refreshments and music finishing with a fun procession round the Green. Everyone is welcome!This will be followed by a fortnight of Guided Walks across the city covering a variety of topics from nature and mindfulness to architecture and history.
