The meet & greet location is located to the north of the marina at Veterans Memorial Park. We have reserved the Band shell, the greens in front of the band shell and the park shelter. There is convenient parking at the edge of the park. There is playground equipment and bathrooms available.
We will be providing live ambient music at the band shell. If you or anyone has a special talent they would like to share, you are welcome to show off your stuff at the band shell! If you would like to tell your story or read a poem or anything, you are welcome to use the band shell as well! We will have additional fun activities to be announced!
Families are asked to prepare and bring their own picnic lunch. There will be additional beverages and refreshments. Please bring lawn chairs and/or blankets. Please be prepared for different types of weather conditions. Temperatures can change quickly without warning at the lakefront. We ask that there be no alcoholic beverages at the park. There are taverns and restaurants within walking distance.
The park is adjacent to Lake Michigan and there are paths leading to the beach. We urge that children do not explore beyond the meet & greet area without close adult supervision. We rather be safe than sorry. We want everyone to have a good time and we don’t expect any problems. There are a few Port Washington city ordinances to make you aware of:
