We are excited to announce a special workshop, "Meditation and Connected Breathing," led by Marilyn Vogel on April 6th at 2pm. This workshop will delve into the fundamentals of mindfulness and meditation, offering valuable insights and techniques for cultivating a more balanced and sustainable practice.
Here's what you can expect from the workshop:
Basic Mindfulness and Meditation Techniques: Marilyn will guide you through foundational mindfulness and meditation practices that promote relaxation and inner peace.
Balanced Meditation Postures: Learn about comfortable and sustainable meditation postures that help soften the body, allowing for a deeper and more focused practice.
Guided Meditations: Explore the diverse world of sensations and experiences related to breathing through two 20-minute periods of guided meditation. Discover the concept of connected breathing, where the breath breathes us, fostering a deeper sense of connection with ourselves.
Simple Yoga Routine: Marilyn will also lead a gentle yoga routine focused on opening the hips, softening around the core, and releasing tension in the shoulder area. This complements the meditation practice and enhances overall relaxation and mindfulness.
Marilyn Vogel brings over 20 years of experience in meditation, yoga, and body practices. She is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through the Sounds True MMTCP with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. She has studied meditation with Gil Fronsdal of the Insight Meditation Center in Redwood CIty, CA, and many other teachers affiliated with Spirit Rock, the Saranaloka Foundation, and the Insight Meditation Society of Barre, MA. As a certified Environmental Chaplain, she leads occasional nature based meditation experiences.
This workshop is ideal for anyone looking to gain experience in meditation or deepen their existing practice. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced practitioner, you'll leave with valuable techniques and insights for nurturing a consistent meditation practice.
