20 Bands - 10 Comedians - Pig Roast - 30+ Vendors - Beer Garden - Raffles - MORE!
The Second Annual Wasted Plains Rock & Roll Revival aims to highlight Chicago bands by taking them out of the city and transplanting them north 55 miles in the city of Woodstock, IL.
Orson Welles, Dick Tracy and Groundhog Day - all claims to fame for the distant Chicago suburb. The town of 20,000 now embraces a gritty Chicago music festival, the likes of which their residents would’ve needed to ride the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line into Chicago to be a part of in the past.
2012 line-up is a good one – Ezra Furman (with his band), White Mystery, Santah, Cousin Dud, Elephant Gun, The Heligoats, The Soil & The Sun, Jon Drake & The Shakes, Rabble Rabble, On Again Off Again, Thin Hymns, Jaime Rojo, Barber Greene, Jack Avery’s Kin, Jellybones, Kellen & Me, Kane Place Record Club (MKE), The Cost of Living (WI)
The festival will be held August 25th, on 4 stages on the property of VFW Post 5040 in downtown Woodstock. Other activities entertaining the masses – A pig roast, 30+vendors, 10 Chicago comedians, The Late Live Show with Joe Kwaczala, a beer garden and FREE Mohawks!
