In partnership with The Manitoba Multiculturalism Secretariat and the Winnipeg Foundation, Islamic Social Services Association presents The Interfaith Youth Conference (Ages 16 – 26)

The conference looks to address a variety of issues to to the following growing concerns:
-The need to reinforce the spirit of Canadian multiculturalism in response to the increasing trend of the acceptance of discrimination. -Need for us as youth to understand the diverse faith communities within a Canadian context, so we can develop mutual respect and understanding
-To increase awareness and knowledge of discriminatory behaviours / practices in order to reduce such behaviour/ practices
Goal:
To engage youth in respectful dialogue in interfaith and cultural competency so that we can develop mutual understanding in order to increase awareness and knowledge, while working against stereotypes, misinformation, and discriminatory behavior/practices.
Format:
The Interfaith Youth Conference is a one-day event which is designed to educate youth in interfaith competency with the main focus being the similarities rather than the differences.
