The Bokononists

What is music to us? A vehicle to drive our illustrations or a back seat to make love in? Do we wear it like a badge or is it branded on our skin? Are we treating it with the proper respect? The acclivity in our relationship is clear, but our affection for a downhill stroll puts it at risk. Can we do for music what music does for us? Formed in 2009, The Bokononists have been writing, recording and playing at a feverish pace. All you need to know about the style and quality of music being produced is evident on their debut album 'The Dangerously Empty Lives of Teenage Girls'. The play from this record can take you from the raw, shown on tracks like 'Start a War', to well crafted Clash-esque dance rock evident in 'Stay Inside' and the title track, 'The Dangerously Empty Lives of Teenage Girls'. With a dark sound and a well lit live show The Bokononists are set to storm the Indie rock ranks and bang down the door of the mainstream.

Vampires

Sweat, Floor Rock, Dada-core, Post-Garage, Death-Pop, Shoegazer Growl, 1992 New York Fusion Pop, Pop-Underground, Oft Fuzzy Dance Riffs, Bellow Boogie, Fun, ..we like these words. some of them came from other people talking about our shows. so i guess, by putting them here, we're saying, we couldn't have said it better ourselves. which is nice. Most of all we, just like to see people shaking their tailfeathers to our big noisy peacock colors.
