Celebrate Black History Month at Aqua Books with Songs for Freedom.
Music was an integral part of the American Civil Rights Movement of the 50s and 60s. It helped inspire those who strove for equal rights for all citizens. It helped bring together those of all races and religions for one common goal.
So come listen to original jazz arrangements by Anatol Rennie of songs of the period. From Spirituals to Seeger, and Bob Dylan to Charles Mingus, there will be a whole range of Civil Rights music.
